World Of Wearable Art
The WOW Awards Show is a world-renowned creative competition that challenges artists to create a piece of wearable art that is original, innovative, and truly exceptional. The competition has been running for over 30 years and showcases the work of some of the most creative minds from across the globe.
I won the 2nd Prize in the Reflective Surfaces category at the WOW awards show in 2018 with my Hilandera entry. The garment was inspired by Velazquez’s master piece Las Hilanderas (“The Spinners”), which depicts the mortal Arachne challenged by the goddess Athena to a weaving competition.
