The Edinburgh Hispanic Festival, supported by funding from BEMIS Scotland through Homecoming Scotland 2014, curated ‘Hilandera’ (Spinner), a site specific installation at G3 Depot, G3 Depot, Gayfield creative spaces, Edinburgh. 14 Oct 2014 – 21 Oct 2014. Featuring a woven thread cone sculpture measuring over three meters high that will grow throughout the week of the show, creating a dramatic multidimensional experience.

Morphing Clockwork Pulsar 2013

Clockwork Pulsar builds upon the original Thread Portals series, advancing its themes further. In the 2013 Concave & Convex collection, the ideas of time, movement, and space are examined in greater depth through the incorporation of cone shapes onto the canvas. These concave and convex cones suggest a dynamic sense of forward and backward motion, amplified by detailed clockwork thread designs. As lighting conditions change, the perception of movement and transformation evolves, generating diverse atmospheres that draw the viewer into multiple dimensions.

N E B U L O S A 2014

The Ave Maria Triptych 2020

The Ave Maria Triptych is a symbolic and highly evocative artwork that explores the feminine as a source of inspiration, creativity, and regeneration. Created as a three-panel piece and housed in a chapel with Marian associations, the work uses archetypal imagery, such as the almond (Vesica Piscis), the eight-pointed star, the crescent moon, and the inverted cone, to reference fertility, creation, and the connection between the divine and human realms.

Hilando fino 2022

Hilando Fino (Finely Spun) is the culmination of a decade of work, blending traditional craftsmanship with new technologies to reflect the complexities of modern life. Central to the exhibition is the thread, symbolizing qualities like flexibility, tension, and entanglement, which mirror the challenges we face daily.

The Black Rood project 2025

This ongoing project is a reflection on the power of imagination to revive and inspire new stories, like the one that follows, based on legends, lost relics, and crumbling ruins.
